Working colours!

What is your colour?

http://gyggabinetearquitectura.es/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/colores-1.jpg

It's necessary to learn and review colours in early ages. What about a different activity? First, show to your pupils this video and then try to do the following activity. It'll be interesting to use different strategies to teach. ;)

Step number one: listen and watch the next video about colours.

Step number two: cut out all pictures and paint the white ones, then stick them with the car of the same colour.

Activity without links of pictures.

Try it and let me know what has happened in your class. ;)

You can download the activity in PDF here.

Learning Verb TO BE

LEARNING VERB TO BE

One of the most important verb that languages usually have is the verb TO BE. We must work it with our students. Firstly, I suggest you try to work it from oral examples:

For instance:
* Work in pairs. Ask following questions to your partners and try answer them:

A. What's your name?                              B. My name is Joanna.
A. Are you short?                                      B. No, I'm not short.
A. Are Elena and Maria your friends?   B. Yes, they are my
                                                                          friends.

From this exercice, we could find the rule of verb to be. This activity can be a little difficult for those younger students, teacher help them with more examples if it's necessary.

Then, students can practice reading and writting skills with the next activity:

Enjoy it and let me know if it's a good activity for your students! ;)

You have the activity in PDF here.

It's so funny to learn English!

Learning CLOTHES

It's so funny to learn at school!

We're going to learn more things in English. Yeah! We love it! ;)
Use this activity in order to teach some clothes to your pupils that are younger. It's easy and interesting which lets keep their motivation during the class.

I show you some pieces of clothes in group at first. If you want to use this image separately, it could be great for a first view of clothes. It could be interesting that you work in class together so they could listen and repeat the right pronunciation of words.

Pictures taken from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taoCF1cKZSY

Then, I suggest you an activity with clothes. They will have to match the picture with the right word.

Enjoy it! ;)

You have the picture with all clothes together  (picture 1)  and the activity here

Enjoy singing with clothes and colours!

It's time to listen and repeat!

We have learnt different clothes and colors, now we have to sing and remember them together.

It's an useful activity because they can improve their pronounciation, listening and oral skills. Let's go!

A really special day: Saint George's Day!

Saint George's Day in English!

First, ask your students for the legend of Saint George's and the Dragon. Try to repeat their words in English in order to let them become familiar with the new vocabulary. Then, show them this following video about the story:

After that, try to help them to find the key English words about the catalan legend: rose, princess, prince, Dragon, king, blood and sword.

You can use the following activity to work some of these words. Let your students imagine and create their characters, for instance: How would the Dragon of your story be? How would the end of your story be? Draw your own story.
